This is a condition that results from the abnormal premature destruction of red blood cells Cause Caused by an infection with a specific strain of E. coli, Symptoms Bloody diarrhea,Vomiting,Abdominal pain,Pale skin tone,Fatigue and irritability,Fever, Decreased urination or blood in the urine,Swelling of the face, hands, feet or entire body\ Diagnosis Diagnosis can be made by Stool sample,blood test ,urine test. Treatment Fluid replacement, Platelet transfusions, Plasma exchange, Kidney dialysis. Prevention Wash your hands, utensils and food surfaces often., Keep raw foods separate from ready-to-eat foods, Keep raw foods separate from ready-to-eat foods, Avoid unpasteurized milk, juice and cider. |
