This condition is characterized by weakness and rapid fatigue of any of the muscles under your voluntary control Cause Breakdown in the normal communication between nerves and muscles. Symptoms Drooping of one or both eyelids ,Double vision (which may be horizontal or vertical),speech may be very soft or may sound nasal,Difficulty swallowing,Problems chewing,Limited facial expressions Diagnosis Diagnosis is done by Blood analysis, Repetitive nerve stimulation ,Edrophonium test, Single-fiber electromyography, Â CT scan , MRI Treatment Medicine used in treatment are Cholinesterase inhibitors, Corticosteroids, Immunosuppressants. Plasmapheresis,surgery is used in treatment. |
